What do you Need to Start Dabbing?

It’s always a good idea to have all the tools you need on hand before you start dabbing. Unlike pipes and bongs, dabbing is a little more complex when it comes to equipment. The process requires a few steps and without all the equipment needed, you won’t get very far. Luckily, Puff has all the gear you need to start dabbing.

Everything You Need to Start Dabbing

Ready to get started? Before we list the equipment you need to start dabbing, read our guide onusing a dabbing rig. This guide shows you how to use the rig itself, as well as the nail and cap. Once you’ve read the guide, here are the dabbing tools you will need.

  • A dabbing rig. The first and most important thing you’ll need is a good quality dabbing rig. These are a lot like bongs, except they use a nail instead of a weed bowl. A glass rig will be perfect.

  • A nail. The nail is how you’ll be heating your concentrates. Make sure that you choose a nail that fits your rig’s joint. It should be heat-resistant and made of glass or metal.Titanium is the best choice as it is extremely durable.

  • A dabber. The dabber is used to place concentrate on the nail. Glass or titanium dabbers are ideal as they can withstand high temperatures. Try ourdabbing pencil or look for a dual-purpose tool such as ourdabber cap tool

  • A torch. Heating the nail needs to be done carefully so that the concentrate can vaporise properly. A regular lighter will not work. You will need atorch jet lighter that works quickly, without any risk of burning your fingers as you hold the torch to the nail.

    • A carb cap. Finally, you can also look for acarb cap. Although not everyone uses these, they are still good to have - especially if you are new to dabbing. Caps help to vaporise your concentrate at lower temperatures, preventing burning and wastage. Some caps also include dab tools.
