Cleaning Your Dabbing Rig
How do you clean your dabbing rig? Here are a few steps to get your rig nice and clean.
Use a torch.
Using your torch is a very quick and effective way to clean your dabbing nail. This will remove any residual carbon quickly. Heat the nail as you normally would before you start dabbing and then allow it to cool completely. Once it’s cooled, you can wipe it down with an alcohol-soaked cotton ball or swab and then let it air dry.
Soak the parts.
You can also soak the nail, dabbing tool and other parts in a solution of alcohol, water and salt. Add your dabbing accessories to a sealable bag filled with an alcohol solution, shake the bag a few times and allow to soak a while. This will kill off any harmful bacteria and remove any traces of residue.
Rinse well and air dry.
Finally, you can give your rig a good rinse after cleaning. Use warm water and either run the rig and its parts under the water for a bit or let the parts soak in warm water for a few minutes. Make sure the water is not hot - this can cause the glass to crack. Once it’s clean, you can then place the rig somewhere safe to air dry.
Ideally, you should aim to clean your rig every three to six months. This will keep it going for longer, with a cleaner, purer smoke, every time.
